The HORL story began in 2016 when father-and-son duo Otmar and Timo Horl founded the company in Freiburg, Germany, with a mission to simplify professional-grade knife sharpening. Manufactured with exceptional craftsmanship in the Black Forest, the HORL system has revolutionised how home cooks and professionals maintain their blades.

Sharp, sharper, mirror-sharp – with the HORL 3 and interchangeable grinding discs you have many options. In combination with a constant grinding angle, the diamond and ceramic discs deliver impressive results. 15° produces a fine cutting edge typically used for Japanese knives, and 20° for a stable cutting edge suitable for most Western style knives

Made in Germany from solid Oak, the HORL 3 knife sharpener is efficient, precise, and built to last a lifetime.

Using it is simple: Firstly attach a knife, blade side up, to the magnetic angle support. Then roll the sharpener along each side of the blade with the diamond disk to shape and sharpen your knife. Finish with the ceramic disc to remove burrs and refine the blade.

The result is a professional-grade sharpness, with very little effort.
